The sakura are long finished blooming, with the last of the pale pink petals falling to the ground about a week ago. And today, thanks to a windy morning and yesterday's rain, the remaining blossom stems have fallen down. Bunridai-koen, a local park, was carpeted in the red stems when I passed through today. Lovely.
